Ladybug sighed and sat down on the ground.

"You're right, and no one else is giving me any answers," she groused. "So...," she took a deep breath. She just had to say it. "Well..."

Out with it Marinette! she scolded herself. But no one's supposed to know. Shut up!

"The 'Guardian'," she blurted. "He claimed that he would tell me everything, but I guess he just doesn't know anything. Or he lied," she huffed. "I'm tired of the secrets."

Scorpina listened , peaking one eye opened on Ladybug to indicate. She didn't need the kwami of transmission or emotion to notice how the younger, spotted hero was nervous in asking what she needed to know. Nor did Scorpina blamed her.

No... if anything, she would place the blame on Tikki and the false guardian.

Hearing of how much fear he installed in a little girl. yes the situation was dire and there was the need to be cautious. However, fear was not sheltering Ladybug. It was keeping her ignorant.

And she needed to know. Scorpina is willing to let her know along with Chat... however doubt and worry was a luxury they couldn't afford anymore.

miraculous awakening

alright i watched the ml movie and, though it is flawed, i actually really loved it (i didn't expect it 'cause i've seen so many rather negative reviews). and there was something truly special in watching the movie in the cinema with people who love miraculous just as much as i do and even more. there were a lot of people around my age ( over 20 yo) and not so many children. (one little girl was dressed as ladybug, so cute)

i have some thoughts about the movie i'd like to share. there'll be some 📌SPOILERS📌 ahead.

😻what i liked about the movie😻:

🐞it is just so incredibly beautiful. a masterpiece, honestly.

🐞it was really fun, i laughed a lot (even though not all the jokes are good)

🐞LADYNOIR! that's all. just them. (i didn't have high expectations about the movie but what i did expect was to see my sweetest loveliest ladynoir and i got what i wanted and even more). their song stronger together (plus forts ensemble) will forever be my favorite.

🐞the characters are great. marinette is adorable. she is clumsy and shy (a bit more than she is in the show)

but she is also brave and strong and heroic - all she needed was just to believe in herself. also i loved her interaction with adrien much better in the movie than in the show. she isn't cringy around him, isn't stuttering and isn't confusing her words and she isn't stalkering him!

🐞adrien is a sweet sad boy as adrien and a bit annoying as chat in the beginning, and i love him so soo much!

🐞alya is gorgeous as always. nino, stuttering around her show!marinette style is just hilarious! same, nino, same. she is a goddamn queen after all.

🐞sabrina. she's a cutie pie.

🐞gabriel. the man actually cares for his son. his remorse and redemption in the end - wow, that was soooo great (unless the last scene ruined it, but maybe not - didn't really get what was it all about).

🐞the final battle. masterpiece.

😾and there were also things i didn't like about the movie😾:

🐞explanation of magic powers. ladybug doesn't have her lucky charm which means that up until the last battle (when she got a power-up) she wasn't able to fix the damage and left city in ruins.

🐞adrien didn't get the chance to deserve his miraculous, plagg just chose him without any explanation given. of course i get it that marinette is the very main character here but really? they couldn't spend five minutes to show adrien helping master fu or something? 

🐞plagg. oh boy. what happened to you. farting jokes? really??

🐞the songs are good but not so memorable. like a compilation of any disney movie song i've ever heard before. 

🐞the identity reveal. i know we're all tired of waiting for it to happen in the show. but the movie feels rushed and to me it needed more screen time. or a few more movies. i really wanted more love square drama before the reveal. 'cause ladybug seems to have feelings for chat noir (especially it is obvious in the stronger together song, even though she rejects chat), but adrien isn't remotely in love with marinette by the time of the reveal.

🐞also what happened to gabriel in the end? everyone knows he was a hawkmoth but did he go to jail or something? 

🐞and what was the last scene about? is he back to his evil shit or will nathalie be the next villain?

anyway, i loved it💖

hope we'll get to see the sequel.

Here's the ask game, in case anyone's wondering.

1.📚 assign some characters to be in a group project together, and I’ll tell you how that would go:

Marinette would be team leader, naturally, she grabs that role as soon as she can. Alya would back her up on trying to keep everyone on track. Alix and Kagami would probably want to approach their subject matter in a very direct sort of way, maybe a bit TOO direct, and if there was any possibility of bringing some sort of sports or physical activity into the project, they'd take it. Marc would be a bit withdrawn without Nathaniel there, but Marinette would help him open up, and he'd do a lot of the writing component, I'd imagine, especially anything that used creative writing.

2.🤝 send me two or more characters, and I’ll come up with what activities they’d do together when hanging out

Oooh they'd go to an amusement park together! Alya would help Kagami with her secret fear of roller coasters, and Kagami would come to find that she could enjoy them now, with Alya by her side, of course. And Kagami would COMPLETELY destroy at all of those rigged carnival games, cleaning the people out of all the merch they have!

3.🐞 send me a character and a miraculous, and I’ll rate how good a match it is + come up with a few concepts about that new superhero

Very bad match. The dog requires some good tactical thinking to use effectively, since its power is very situational, and Kagami's main tactic is "pick up weapon and try to stab/bash the opponent with it". I think that she'd forget about the whole "Fetch" power entirely until reminded of it, just because it doesn't fit her style.

4.💎 Ask me about rarepairs

Oooh, I think Alyagami is a great pairing! They're both pretty badass, and ready to charge headlong into solving any mystery or resolving any situation they come across. Stand in their way, and you'll be run over. They're good matches for each other, both being very strong and assertive, and would make for a great Power Couple!

5.💭 I’ll come up with a cute little headcanon for the character or relationship (romantic or not) you send me. Feel free to add some kind of prompt if you’d like.

Marinette tells Alya about becoming Ladybug in order to help her during Origins - both times, actually, after Optigami, in an effort to cheer her friend up. Alya’s tickled pink, and wonders what might’ve happened if she’d taken her bag that day and found the earrings, but is still overall happy with how things worked out, since Marinette’s an amazing Ladybug, and Alya’s happy with Trixx.

6.💥 send me an akuma, and I’ll make up a team and plan to defeat them the most efficiently

So I’m assuming that The Bubbler is channeling the Black Cat Miraculous? Hm. Let’s say that makes the bubbles able to destroy anything they come in contact with, then. 

I’d have Rena Rouge make an illusion of Gabriel being a dick in order to distract him, then have Vesperia sneak up on him from behind and venom him. From there, it’s easy to take his bubble wand from him and snap it.

7.💡 send me a character, and I’ll talk about what I’d like to learn about them, see them doing, or something about them I’d like to see explored more

I’d love to see Marc’s family! Especially whether he has any siblings. I love the idea of him having a little sister especially and just being an awesome older brother.

8.😈 send me a minor background character who hasn’t been akumatized yet, and I’ll come up with an idea for their villain form

Alya’s mom, Marlena, hasn’t been akumatized yet. What if she got akumatized because all her kids have a tendency to get into danger and she’s not able to stop them? Like, Alya and Nora will happily charge into akuma danger zones, and Ella and Etta... well, they’re first graders. They have no conception of danger, and whatever they had was destroyed when they got used to supervillains attacking on a daily basis.

9.⚔️ send me two superheroes, and I’ll come up with how a duel between them would go and who would win

Ryuuko would win. Like I love Chat Noir and think he should generally be depicted as being a stronger combatant than usually happens, but well... Ryuuko is Kagami. I wouldn’t be surprised if she took down an akuma even WITHOUT having superpowers. She’s sure been giving it her best shot. 

Anyway, she’d slash at him repeatedly with her sword, keeping Chat on his toes, not giving him any respite, until eventually she overpowers him completely. If he tries anything sneaky, she’d use her power of turning into the elements to get around it and resume her assault.

10.💔 send me a character, and I’ll tell you some canon tidbit(s) I like about them that no one ever talks about

I don’t know about NO ONE talking about it, but I love drawing attention to Origins, and how Alya, as the first thing she did upon entering the class, stood up to Chloe in order to defend Marinette. She didn’t even know either girl! She just saw that another kid was being bullied and took action, even though it made her an enemy. She didn’t hesitate. I love that about her.

11. ◼️ send me two superheroes, and I’ll describe a “love square” between them, or rather what sort of identity shenanigans they could face. This would be fun about characters who are canonically dating or close friends, but it’s also fun if you get creative.

Hm... I don’t think Kagami and Marinette would change on different sides of the mask nearly as much as Adrien and Marinette do. Adrien acts very differently depending on whether he’s transformed or not, and Marinette acts differently depending on whether she’s around Adrien or not, though being transformed does factor in some, as she’s aware of how much of a role model and authority figure she is while being Ladybug. And Kagami just doesn’t really change how she acts regardless. A lot of people mask, but she ain’t one of them.

Honestly I think the biggest issues would come from Kagami and Marinette running out on each other due to akuma attacks, with both of them thinking the other person doesn’t like them because of it. I don’t think it’d take all that long for any identity shenanigans between them to lead to at least a one-sided Reveal, considering that Kagami gave herself away the first time she transformed, and that there’s just no one else in Miraculous who behaves similarly to her. 

12. 😡 send me one of Adrien’s friends, and I’ll tell you why Gabriel disapproves and thinks his son shouldn’t hang out with such a bad influence.

Gabriel sneers outwardly about her supposedly running a “gossip column” and running into danger in ways that might give his son ideas. Privately, he’s worried that her being so close to him will lead to her uncovering some evidence pointing towards him being Hawkmoth. Around Season 4 era, he’s also worried about Ladybug influencing Adrien through Alya, since he knows that Alya and Ladybug are close.

Marinette found a place in the closet she was hiding in to sit. And the longer it took for Tikki to come back, well, the designer just pulled out her sketchbook and started drawing. Well, Juleka would love them. She sighed and put her sketchbook away, glancing at the door. Still no Tikki.

She pulled out her phone next and texted Adrien to make sure he was okay. Then, Marinette spotted that there notifications from the Ladyblog and YouTube. She expected the usual, post akuma videos...but apparently Alya hadn't gotten the attack on film.

No, the videos she was being notified of were almost all of Ladybug verbally attacking a civilian.

Finally there was a voice on the other side of the door.

"Oh, it's fine," she tried to assure, standing. Marinette was tempted to just leave the closet. But, a nagging voice (that sounded suspiciously like Tikki) at the back of her mind reminded her of the 'identity rule'.

"Right...," Tikki gave a weak glare to the guardian and went into the closet. She wouldn't apologize to Marinette. Not when she hadn't really done anything wrong. But she'd come to an agreement with Scorpina about how she would stop interfering with her holder, and she would honour it.

The Kwami folded her arms and nodded to Marinette. Marinette frowned, quirking an eyebrow.

"Well?" she asked at Tikki's continued silence. She didn't miss how annoyed Tikki looked. Tikki let out a frustrated huff.

"You...won't have anymore interference from me when it comes to your powers," she deadpanned.

Well...it was something. She sighed and transformed. Ladybug came out of the closet and sighed.

"I'll figure out how to smooth all this over with the media...," she sighed before heading home.

Tikki gaped at Scorpina, at that mark. How? She still wasn't sure about the accusation of Fu being a 'false guardian', but that tattoo...it had to be somehow fake! There was no one else!

Was there...?

"How do you have that mark?" she demanded, not wanting to believe it.

Scorpina crossed her arms held her glare at the kwami of creation, not letting her demeanor waver away. The djinn in disguise learned a long time ago that even gods can be wrong and Tikki was out of line abusing her power over Ladybug. She allowed the kwami to continue her power trip, knowing what she would reveal next would stop her ranting.

Without saying anything, Scorpina kept her glowing eyes on the kwami while lifting her scorpion tail away then turning around…

… to reveal the embedded tattoo of lotus with the yin-yang symbol.

Random Note about Marinette and Chloé

Both Marinette and Chloé play FFXIV. Below the cut, I'm putting my prelim build of their characters...

Marinette would be like me and after unlocking the ability to, would make her character able to do literally everything. However, she would MAIN as a White Mage

Chloé would main the most pretentious class she could find, in Dragoon (sorry not sorry the Dragoon quest chain and Ishgard in general is like imo the most pretentious out of the starter jobs) But she would also see the prudence in making her own gear and take on the crafting/gathering trade.

In some potential cases, these two would be unwittingly friends in the digital space, maybe even start up an FC together and/or be a steady party...

Ladybug (Complicated and Main Verses): Red bodysuit with black spots and black hooded cape, elbow length fingerless black gloves, black knee length boots and a red knee length 'kimono style' vest with black and gold symbols reminiscent of spots and black trim, held closed by a black belt with red spots and a gold braided cord; Earrings have 'evolved' to cover her entire earlobe, with five additional red gems of decreasing size with black centres, the largest gem retains her trademark five spots, as her transformation time runs out, the additional gems and spots disappear; Her hairstyle varies based on her desires; Her visible fingernails are magically painted red with black spots

Ladybug (What We Mean to Be): Up until Lady Wifi, cycled through various suits with inspiration from Cardcaptor Sakura and other Magical Girl series. As of Lady Wifi, wears a traditional Nanquan outfit with a red 'silk' vest that sports 'retro styled' spots of black and gold, with gold trim and black slacks. Fingerless red opera length gloves with black spots, black wrapped shoes and a black spotted red sash with a hook for her yo-yo at the knot. Red sports wrappings offer support for hands, wrists, and ankles.

Ladybug (Catastrophe/Dual Miraculous alt 1): A sleek brown bodysuit with a sweetheart spotted red micro dress and matching opera gloves and knee-high boots; Second Miraculous proudly sitting on her collar and her hair restyled into twin buns held with her signature red ribbons; Mouse Miraculous is a necklace with a charm of a mouse holding a bouquet of five flowers

'Ladybug' (Catastrophe alt 2): Brown of regular suit becomes more red-brown

Fledermaus (Complicated and Cocimal, complete Bat Miraculous): Dark Grey of 'Batty' suit is replaced with lavender and ear guards gain a dark grey headband to emulate headphones; Her Miraculous is more obviously attached to a leather hair tie braided into a half ponytail

Catastrophe (Cat Ring Only): A classic black catsuit with amber and gold accents with a wide and long leather belt that hangs as a tail, leather bracelets and a bell at her collar, and tall heeled boots with golden toe caps, Miraculous is a more feminine version of the Cat Ring worn on her left middle finger (suit design from this post)

Catastrophe (Dual Miraculous alt, Coyote Miraculous): Second Miraculous is a thin gold bangle with five amethysts embedded around it, each with a petal-like design around it worn on right wrist, suit structure remains the same, the trim of her suit is changed to a rusty brown, many of the amber gems are replaced with Turquoise, the bell is replaced with a teardrop shaped charm of Turquoise, remaining leather bracelet is replaced with rope twisted up her arm, heeled boots are replaced with leather pointe shoes, the ties wrapping around her legs above her knees with the same rope on her arm, hair takes on dark red lowlights and clip-in ears become wider and slightly more canine in shape, belt changes to an intricately designed strap of tan leather with a braided rope flecked with Turquoise and Amber beads and a well hidden whip

Marinette Dupain-Cheng - Scorpina’s Entrance

Marinette sighed a little as she sat on the steps of the Trocadéro with her sketchbook sitting untouched in her lap. She’d come there looking for inspiration, but there were so many other things she was going through that designing was the furthest thing from her mind, even though she was itching to come up with some new designs. She looked to the skyline and sighed tiredly.

Finally, she put her sketchbook and art supplies back in her bag and stood. She figured she might have better luck after a quick jaunt through the city as Ladybug, so she turned to find a place to transform.

Marinette’s Building

They have an attached parking garage (the black corner of the layout) with bicycle racks on each floor. I couldn’t fit it in the Sims, but there is an elevator in the parking garage.

The bakery/cafe run by the Dupain-Cheng family featuring an outdoor dining area with public bathroom, indoor seating (There would actually be more displays than pictured here) and the large kitchen suitable for a bakery and family reunions.

The next two floors of the building have the same layout really and they have three total apartments for rent one 1b/1r and two 2b/1r

the family’s floor at the top of the building they gave Marinette the biggest space to do her design stuff while her parents do all of their business in the bakery downstairs Marinette’s older sister has her own apartment on the third floor (1r/1b).
